Wesley Berry stops at NOTHING to grow his deceptive practices at the cost of retail florists. Customers are being misled and we’re the ones paying for it.
Wesley Berry is advertising in Sarasota – and most likely in your area as well. His deceptive act tries to fool unsuspecting customers into believing that he is actually located in Sarasota or any other locations where callers need flowers delivered. He hijacks customers and charges fees like I have never seen and then sends the orders to shops.

How can you state that the Merry Christmas centerpiece is originally $126.96? How in the world can you even come up with that? There is not even one single flower in it!
This is one of the biggest problems facing our industry. So what do we do? If you fill an order from a deceptive order gatherer, you are enabling the problem. The only way to put an end to these deceitful order gatherers is to work together to stop them.
Please, if you are reading this, share it with your customers and anyone else associated with our industry. Education is the greatest tool we have. Deceptive order gatherers want the flower buying public to stay in the dark on this issue, it’s time we bring it to light.
What else can you do?
#1 Don’t take social media lightly. It’s a powerhouse. We love helping shops get a consistent message out to their customers. Educate as much as possible!
#2 Think about your marketing. The easier you make it for your customers to shop with you, the less the chance will be for them to be stolen online. Floralapp is just one direct connection for you to secure the relationship with your customers.
#3 Email as much as possible. Be sure to keep it fun and engaging and remembering value is very important on the web.
The last and most important reminder – be sure to educate your staff when they are taking calls. I see so many shops that we call where the staff is not informed. Again, the easier you make it to shop with you, the more your customers will do so.

“Thank you for your order. Is there any additional shopping I may assist you with?”
PLEASE don’t change a single word. It gets them to think and many times you will be told, “Not unless you can deliver to (someplace out of town),” That’s your opportunity. It works and cost NOTHING to try.
