Earlier this week, Beneva Flowers reached a milestone of 35,000 likes on Facebook through our SCOOP program – an increase of 10,000 likes in less than nine months. We obviously believe in the power of social media, and see it as a vital tool for interacting with customers. Watching the numbers grow across the various social media platforms is a good indicator that we are engaging with an important segment of the population that many people choose to ignore – simply because they don’t see the value.
Engaging and Embracing
The one aspect of social media that makes it stand out from other forms of advertising is the ability to engage with the customers instead of just putting messages out there for them to interpret on their own. Today’s customers want you to earn their business. They are looking to shop with people they trust, and a big part of building that trust is making them feel that you also value them as a customer by listening to them and letting them occasionally peek “behind-the-scenes” at parts of your business that most don’t get to see on a daily basis.
This is what we strive to accomplish through SCOOP; the likes and engagement have resulted from those efforts.
